From design and architecture to a new way of creating.

We are a team that unites design, research and technology to bring ambitious ideas to life. With our own robotic 3D printing and recycled materials, we create furniture, lighting and spaces with a character of their own.

Who we are

Taking design into a new dimension.

VoxelChair v1.0 · Centre Pompidou

We are Nagami, an international design brand bringing bold ideas to life through creativity, material innovation, and technology we develop ourselves. Design leads everything we do: the character of a piece, the atmosphere of a space, and the way it makes people feel. Our ambition is to help people create something truly special.

Our story began with years of research in London into digital design, digital manufacturing, robotics, and emerging technologies. That exploration opened up new possibilities for what we could imagine—and how we could make it. Coming from the world of architecture, Manuel Jiménez García, Miguel Ángel Jiménez García, and Ignacio Viguera Ochoa founded Nagami in Ávila, Spain, in 2016, turning experimental research into a design brand with a global outlook.

From our first robot, we grew into a manufacturing operation with 21 robotic arms, building the capacity to take on increasingly ambitious projects. Today, our work spans distinctive furniture and lighting, sculptural installations, immersive interiors, and large architectural elements. That growth allows us to bring the same creative attention to an individual object and an entire space.

What makes Nagami special is how closely design and invention work together. We create our own large-scale robotic 3D-printing technology, developing the tools, software, and manufacturing processes that give ideas their physical form. This freedom lets us explore expressive geometries, unexpected textures, and new possibilities for scale and customisation.

Collaboration is at the heart of our practice. We have worked with Zaha Hadid Architects, Ross Lovegrove, Daniel Widrig, Karim Rashid, and Eugeni Quitllet, amongst other incredible designers. Our collaborations also include Cartier, Dior, Ecoalf, Jimmy Choo, and Real Madrid’s Memorabilia programme, among many others. Across luxury, fashion, sport, and architecture, we work closely with our collaborators to bring their ideas to life, creating pieces and spaces with a character of their own.

Recycled plastics and sustainable materials are central to this approach. We turn discarded resources into desirable design, giving materials a new life while advancing a more circular way of making.

Our journey has earned international recognition, with our founders included in Forbes España’s 2021 list of the 100 most creative Spaniards in business. Our work has been presented at leading cultural institutions and exhibitions worldwide, including the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A), the Design Museum, and the Zaha Hadid Gallery in London, as well as the Venice Architecture Biennale, amongst others. Our pieces also form part of the permanent collections of the Centre Pompidou in Paris and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

We keep pushing what design can become—with the imagination to conceive it, the technology to create it, and the people to make it happen.

Our journey

From one chair to a factory of robots

Move through the years. Each one has an image and the milestones that shaped it.

    In-house technology

Industrial robots turned into large-format printers

We design and build our own extruders. Each robotic arm melts recycled plastic pellets and lays them down layer by layer, with no moulds, up to 3.5 metres tall. Twenty-one robots work in parallel at our factory in Ávila.

With no moulds, every piece can be different at no extra cost: from a chair to a facade, from a lamp to a full pavilion. The same software that draws the shape programs the robot that prints it.

    Material

Recycled plastic. And what others throw away.

We print with recycled plastics and we are bringing organic waste into our materials: olive pits, oyster shells, cork or pine wood. Each waste changes the colour, texture and feel of the piece. Tap a sample.

    Recycled plastic

A second life in every layer

We work with recycled plastic pellets, in solid or translucent colours. The layered texture is the signature of our process: every line is one pass of the robot.
