This hyper artistic sculpture, designed by Ross Lovegrove
Ganic
Ganic is one of its kind, it re-defines the way a conventional reception operates and at the same time gives the visitors a moment of curiosity when they arrive.
Its fading in and out in height aims to provide an area free of any interference with the projection. Along the sculpture’s edge, it transitions into vertical ribs to enhance the structural conditions here. The design was printed in a single 48-hour session, reaching a total height of almost 4 meters.
The print develops a gradient of material from clear to black and back to clear allowing interior lighting at the base and top without interfering with exterior projection.
The scale and quality are unique and represent a giant step forward in large-scale robotic 3D printing for custom designed parts. The project is permanently installed at the C Future Lab in Shenzhen, China.
