A space connected to the oceans in real time

The Caixa Forum of Valencia covers around 10,000 m2 and is located in the emblematic building “El Ágora” by Santiago Calatrava, in La Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias, providing the emblematic building with a new cultural context in order to promote social cohesion and integration.

Placed inside the main hall, La Nube turns the central area into a habitable and interactive space designed to promote artificial intelligence and its possibilities in education.

Project description

Aesthetically reminiscent of a spaceship, La Nabe is dedicated for educational and family activities, generating an immersive experience by staying connected to the temperature flows of the oceans through artificial intelligence. Depending on the temperature of the oceans, the light turns from blue to violet -blue color indicates healthy tides and violet water temperatures rising.

Sustainability

We join this project by printing the exterior panels that give shape and allow the penetration and visibility of these lights.

Technical information
Using the air printing technique, a 24-metre exterior cladding with a total of X flexible 3D printed panels in light blue tones cover the surface, creating a mesh over the lower shell of La Nube.
