When Gordon Ramsay chose Ibiza to open the first Hell's Kitchen in Europe, the space had to live up to a brand that has redefined global gastronomic culture. The Unexpected Ibiza Hotel became the setting for an unprecedented collaboration between haute cuisine and cutting-edge design, where Nagami was invited to create the architectural element that would articulate the entire experience.

The result is a large-scale 3D-printed sculptural ceiling that floats over the open kitchen like a seashell emerging from the bottom of the Mediterranean. Its undulating forms, computationally designed and executed using large-format robotic printing, evoke the movement of water and the energy of the sea surrounding the island. A piece that immediately places the visitor in a unique universe, unmistakable, where architecture becomes emotion.
The formal complexity of the roof is only possible thanks to the unique capabilities of large-scale 3D printing. Each layer, each rib, each curve has been digitally designed and materialized with a precision that conventional construction methods cannot achieve. The recycled plastic, worked at high temperatures by robotic arms, acquires an organic plasticity that radically transforms the perception of space.

Light is a fundamental part of the project. The grooved texture and concave surfaces of the ceiling capture, diffuse, and modulate the ambient lighting in a way that varies with the angle and time, creating a lively atmosphere that changes with each service. The intense turquoise that bathes the pieces at night transforms the space into something between an underwater cave and a show stage, in perfect harmony with the spirit of Ibiza.
